Foosball Coffee Table Combines the Two Greatest Inventions, Ever
2 Comments Published by travis August 17th, 2007 in Decor, Games. Share ThisThere is something mysterious about the coffee table. This simple, shorty version of the traditional table can magically turn into the nexus of any living/entertainment room. This $7,600 coffee table also includes a functional and miniature foosball game. Miniature versions of bar games are so darn cute!

I haven’t played Dungeons & Dragons for years, but I do like to occasionally see what the rules are up to. It appears the rules are shedding the husk of the third (and third-point-five) edition to erupt crackling in a new “4.0″ edition sometime next year.
I’ve been trying to get other writers in New York [...]
The Art of Glen Angus
1 Comment Published by Joel August 7th, 2007 in Art, Games, Great Men. Share ThisI recently stumbled on the art of Glen Angus and was struck by his talent, despite the fact that military pin-up posters aren’t the sort of thing for which I’m typically ga-ga. But the guy knew how to paint, for sure, and I passed the link on to friends.
I didn’t realize it at the time, [...]
Although my Guitar Hero days are numbered as I get ready to move to Rock Band, I have to salute these two great tastes that taste great together: Lego and DIY GH controllers.
Incredible Lego Guitar Hero Controller is Fully Functional [TechEBlog]
Proving my theory that anyone who has ever participated in something titled “$Their_Name Project|Experiment|Group” is a douche trooper, Jaime Kennedy, obviously high as fuck, bombs at an E3 press function. It’s mostly just painful death of comedy, but stick around for a casual owning from a laid back British developer.
World’s Best/Worst Videogame Endings
1 Comment Published by Joel July 17th, 2007 in Games, Tonic. Share ThisUnlike the Mortal Kombat 4 video we’ve got after the jump, this ending from Neo Contra is clearly tongue-in-cheek. That doesn’t make it any less great, however; I think I’ll watch it every morning to prepare to face the day.
The MK4 ending is just trash, though. What a joke of a series.
Toy Collector magazine’s July issue features an article about Guitar Hero and was kind enough to interview me about Fünde Razor, our little get-together we do each year for the Child’s Play Charity.
Love me, love my rhythm-based videogame addiction. While the Guitar Hero series will hold many greater memories for me—raising money for Child’s Play via Fünde Razor; playing a round on Expert in front of a live crowd; hearing my 8-year-old brother sing the opening lick to “Ironman”—I’ve put the game behind me, as the brand [...]
Toolmonger Top 5: The Week in Tools
0 Comments Published by Joel June 4th, 2007 in DIY, Games. Share ThisStill hunting for a Father’s Day gift? Each year we make the same recommendation: skip the ties and expensive golf gear and give dad a good quality (but not too expensive) pocket knife. Don’t get him a 6” hunting knife, either – unless he collects them. Pick up a functional knife that [...]
Japanese Forza 2 Custom Car Designs
9 Comments Published by Joel May 31st, 2007 in Cars, Games. Share ThisIf you just look at these user-made screenshots from the Xbox 360 game Forza Motorsport 2, you might not realize why they are so cool—putting a fancy paint job on a videogame car isn’t exactly difficult, you could presume. But the thing about these cars is that Forza 2 doesn’t let you upload graphics into [...]
Homebrew Xbox 360 Racing Cockpit
0 Comments Published by Joel May 30th, 2007 in Cars, DIY, Games. Share ThisA poster at videogame forum Quarter to Three has built a custom racing cabinet for just $17, using the sort of “Let’s just dick around at Home Depot” engineer acumen I think we can all appreciate. Sure, it’s clearly made of raw lumber, but you can’t beat the satisfaction of DIY, especially when the full-sized [...]
Late last night, the free demo for the upcoming racer Forza 2 was released on Xbox Live (for 360). Vroom!
