Cars: Who the heck buys the Merc ML63 AMG?

OK — not a real review, as I refuse to drive this thing — but who the hell spends the money on this Mini-Van looking AMG?

I understand everything Mercedes poured into this ugly monster to make it fast; “the performance SUV” claims Mercedes — but oh my god you look like a tool driving it. Some guy in the Golden Gate Bridge was in front of me in one of these, I had to pull up along-side and see who the hell would spend $95k on 500+HP of ugly. Yup, he was wearing the biggest, gaudiest USB Headset you can imagine on his left (road-noise side) ear: total tool confirmation.

Have any of you driven this? I’m reading 503HP and 0-60 of 4.8. Thats impressive but wouldn’t an M5 seat your family, drive better and look less like a Plymouth mini-van?
