eBay: Early G.I. JOE Dossier Scripts and More

Posted in: Gadgets

dialtone.jpgOur friends at Gotham City Art are selling another big batch of comics and toy-related items on eBay, including 41 of the original dossier scripts for G.I. Joe action figures. These are the original type-written scripts by Larry Hama that showed up on the back of the action figure packages. Considering most of them are going for around $10 apiece—for now—they’d be awesome adjunctory material for JOE collectors. I’m having a hard time convincing myself that I don’t need the dossier for Dial Tone.

If I may geek out for a moment, this is the hand-written note on Dial Tone’s dossier, which references my other favorite JOE from that era, “Sci-Fi.”

If you go with “Hot-Line” instead of Dialtone, change “Hot-Spot” to “Sci-Fi” on the Laser Trooper.

As you may recall, the laser trooper did end up named “Sci-fi,” although Dial Tone kept his name.

He’s also got several original pages from Archie and Jemm, Son of Saturn, a Vampirella sketch from David Farley, Marvel style guides for the Punisher, and more.
