Ectomo.com Launches!

My dear arch-nemesis (and sometimes Dethroner contributor) John Brownlee has launched the successor to his recently-axed-but-widely-beloved fringe culture blog Table of Malcontents: Ectomo.com, short for “ectoplasmosis: technically, the viscous progeny of medium ectoplasm and the mind-controlling brain parasite toxoplasmosis, aborted from the belly of an octobee. But we just call it Ectomo, a wonder closet of fringe art, culture and ephemera.”

ToM was killed by Wired.com despite of measurable success. (Wired, which despite being a confederacy of really nice, smart people, often makes some really boneheaded decisions, primarily [by my estimation as a contractor there for a few months] due to office politics both internal to the magazine and shit rolling downhill from Conde Net.) A pity only if Brownlee and company didn’t have a place to continue writing on the web. Fortunately, they do!
