Alton Brown’s New Travelogue: Feasting on Asphalt

We’re big fans of Mr. Brown around these parts, despite his occasional veering towards preciousness. His new show Feasting on Asphalt sounds fun, as Alton travels around the country sampling food and dispensing pre-scripted wisdom via voiceover. In fact, we’re almost certain we’ll like it, because it sounds nearly identical to his previous series Good Eats.

There’s not much in this video trailer beyond some fancy graphics and an interesting mention of pre-fab diners that used to be delivered by rail, but it looks like ol’ Alton has already broken his arm by falling off his road bike. Something on the asphalt is feasting on a little bit of Alton.

The new show premieres July 29th on Food Network.
