Clips: John Rambo Trailer

Look, there’s no way this trailer is safe for work, filled as it is with exploding human bodies. In fact, it’s probably not properly called a “trailer,” as there’s no way this version would make it into movie theaters unedited. Instead consider it a preview to a movie that by rights should be horrible, yet amazingly looks badass exactly in all the ways Live Free, Die Hard does not.

Also, I sort of have a crush on the actress that plays the female lead, having already grown conditioned to seeing her act as a psychic balm after bloodshed in her role on Dexter.

I never thought much of Rambo—I was always an Arnie kid—but I will watch and enjoy this movie if it ends up being what it seems it might be, a meditation on the hopelessness of violence punctuated by the awesomeness of exploding arrows.
