Project: Indoor Mushroom Growing

Today I harvested my first mushrooms from my pearl oyster block I bought from Fungi Perfecti, not even a week after I got it in the mail, sprayed it with water, and kept it under the (included) moisture tent. The little buds you see pushing out of the side of the bag in the earlier pictures were on Tuesday; I twisted off the huge clump you see towards the end this morning. It’s going to be a mushroomy spring—especially because my shiitake block is starting to fruit, too.
