Adam is an expert at losing weight, having dropped over a hundred pounds at least twice in his life. This time he dropped 140.6 pounds—one for each mile in the Florida Ironman triathlon. His method? Calorie reduction and cardio. It’s like some sort of miracle!

I am eating 3 meals (+ 1 snack usually fruit) and staying under 1,406 calories (Low fat and choosing whole grain if possible.) I average about 1,000 to 1,200 calories per day. First week was kind of tough but I would make sure I drank large glasses of ice water at meal time to help fill me up. Now it’s pretty easy. I can even go out to eat now and make good decisions and leave food on my plate.

Adam has documented his progress from flabby to thin in pictures, illustrating that no matter how thin a man gets, bike shorts just never look good.
