Molly Ivins, Dildos, and Texas

In Austin, Texas, liberal stronghold, possessing six or more dildos is a felony. “Dildos” are not sold, although “condom demonstration” units can be sold; butt plugs, however, are entirely legal. I’ve learned about this from this 11-minute version of the “Dildo Diaries” documentary.

Also, for those that hate all Texans—and trust me, I hate plenty of ‘em—listen to columnist Molly Ivins, who recently passed away, to get some idea of the ornery, independent pluck that makes many Texans worth admiring—especially Ms. Ivins, who will be missed.
