Heat Vision and Jack or Knight Rider 2008?

I’m not one to criticize recycling old TV content — I’ve long been waiting for the updated F-Troop. Where can I sign the petition to bring Simon and Simon back — or the A-Team? Seriously, BJ and the Bear 2010 would rule.

However, the new Knight Rider sucked. Took me a while, but I finally sat through it.

I’d much rather see this…

than this…

If you were the TV Exec, which would you pick?

/Agree on Knight Rider 2008. Did anyone else think the new “Mike Knight” struck an uncanny resemblance to the creepy lead singer in Guitar Hero 3? Couldn’t get past that…

KR08 was rough, but I was surprised that the old Donald Bellisario commercial break editing was there… I hate to suggest reviewing such a dud, but during one of the initial car chases (KITT along the winding ocean roads evading the bad guys) the action peaks (sort of) and as KiTT is about to attempt a dangerous pass, the frame freezes… kind of Duke Boys style. I was impressed by that…

And I think Heat Vision and Jack would have been significantly better if Black had been the motorcycle and say Philip Seymour Hoffman had been Jack… Wilson’s jokes are a little too cutesy for an iron horse…

Owen Wilson out paces Kilmer, however. The magic of KR MK1 was the realtionship between KITT and Michael (lets not forget KARR.) Kilmer and the new Michael are just eh. It totally loses me as the car is just totally uninteresting.

Heat Vision was less than a HD — he acts more like I’d expect a BMW R series with boxer engine or perhaps an animated Corvair Monza. Regardless, Owen Wilson was more fun than Kilmer.

    IMHO anyway.
