Although I’ve gone all electric with my shaving gear at the moment, both because I have a beard that only needs modest trimming and because it makes travel easier, this “Roll Up” from John Allan is god damn appealing. It’s basically a strip of leather with interlocking pockets inside that hold various cremes and tinctures, not to mention a razor or two. Roll it up and tie it off with the leather straps for easy travel.
Yes, it’s $245 for what essentially amounts to a bunch of two-ounce bottles of shampoo, but look at the leather straps.

If it was truly manly, it would have a place to store your shaving brush, used to lather up with the shave soap.
If it’s just for holding lotions and lather from a can… it’s not manly enough to justify the leather construction.
(and if you wanted to go from manly to dangerous, it would have a space for a straight razor…)
This makes me want to learn to work with leather. Seems like this kind of a setup would be more time consuming than difficult.
