Dear Boulevard,

img_0656.jpg

Let me start off my letter by saying the owner of this site (Joel Johnson) and a contributor (myself, Travis Hudson) are both former Kansas City area residents who love Boulevard beers. Myself and Joel (note that I am speaking on behalf of him) frown upon your limited midwest distribution, especially after we both moved away from the midwest.

Upon visiting the Sigel’s Liquor at Fitzhugh and Cole in Uptown Dallas this evening, I discovered the 12-beer variety pack of your fine Boulevard brew sitting on the shelfand my heart dropped to the ground. I was forced to stop and ask the nearest patron what city I was in and it was indeed Dallas, but there was Boulevard beer at the liquor store. It was all so surreal.

The only Boulevard offering was the variety pack, but I know you will soon bring more and more until Boulevard overtakes Shiner as the “local” beer in Dallas. Thanks again for making this weekend (and all of the following weekends) the best yet in this shithole known as Dallas (zing!).

XOXOXO,
Travis Hudson

I’m sitting here less than a mile from the Boulevard brewery right now. You can’t go wrong with any of their offerings.

Hopefully for everybody they’ll go public and take over the world (at least with their unfiltered wheat)

Tell me about it! The only time I can indulge in BLVD’s fine brews in when I visit my folks in Springfield, MO. Apparently they don’t have distribution in Virginia, either!

Maybe since you guys aren’t in the midwest anymore, you probably don’t know that Boulevard has started releasing a series of one-off specialty brews in big, two or three pint-sized bottles.

In case you missed the important points, let me reiterate: BOULEVARD HAS STARTED RELEASING A SERIES OF ONE-OFF SPECIALTY BREWS.

The day I have waited for (for 12 and a half years) is finally here. I will finally have my Unfiltered Wheat, Dry Stout and — most of all — Pale Ale without having to head north back to P.V.

BIG thank you to Travis for this find.

    Best,
    Jarrett

You need to get your grubby little hands on some of the smokestack beers. The IPA is amazing! Oh btw if you knew of 75th street brewery they have an espresso porter that is divine. just saying what you are missing. enjoy

Personally, I’m not drinking Boulevard ever again since they started using those tiny little 12 ounce packages. For breakfast I’m trying to feed 3 grown men over 200 pounds each, a plump woman and a 13-year-old girl with a beer, some Jimmy Dean breakfast sausage, a couple dozen eggs, and it just don’t work. There is no way to stretch out that tiny little 12 ounce beer for 4 or 5 or 6 people. And I’m not going to buy that 16 ounce maple and sage variety, because I’m not from the north. I’m a Texan and beer at breakfast is for southern people.

Yay! Greetings from just up the hill from the brewery. Good to hear that Texans can get Boulevard now. I think they just started distributing to Dallas very recently.

I’m not sure what you mean by “one-off” but the Smokestack series should be available year-round. At this point, they are only available in KC Metro with distribution to St.L. and the rest of MO.

They are corked and caged in 750ml bottles. They range from Good to Very Good for their respective styles and have a very Boulevard-like take on the respective styles. They’re also a pretty good value - which is also very much like Boulevard.

Ever since moving to ATL from KC, I have lusted after Blvd and LC’s Barbecue…I think I am the only cyclist in the southeast rocking a Blvd Jersey.Definitely no way in hell I am getting any brew this far out.BUMMER. Went back home for 2 weeks over christmas and I don’t think there was a day where I didn’t have at least one or two brews. The Smokestack series are for the true fan.Went out and bought a few after hitting the brewery tour. One bottle and you’re well on your way to being on your ass.

We (ok, I) need Boulevard in Florida. I’m fighting hard to get some. Anyone have any contact that might be able to help.
