Read This: Crime Scene KC Blog

I read a ton of RSS as part of my work. I’m always hesitant to include a blog that is off-topic for me, even if it’s a good read, simply because I don’t want to be distracted. But ever since my friend Brendan recommended the “Crime Scene KC” blog it’s been a welcome seasoning to all the tech news I am normally shoveling down.

Unlike what the name might imply, it’s not just a blog about crime in KC. (Although it does keep a special eye on my hometown; getting updates about meth busts make me feel like I never left!) Instead, James Hart collects headlines from around the world, both funny, poignant, and outrageous. Or sometimes all three, like this recent favorite that made me laugh and weep all at once: “Pit bulls kill young cancer patient’s Make-A-Wish horse”.

If you’d like to be reminded of how miserable, dumb, and hilarious your fellow man can be, you’d do worse than add Crime Scene KC to your daily read.

Oh man…15 teenagers arrested in Des Moines in a loitering sting. Great site, I will probably read this every day. I don’t know if I’m ready for the pitbull vs. Make-A-Wish horse story yet.

So you ARE that asshole that has been posting as “Joel Johnson”. The woman had been wondering, but I was pretty sure I recognize that particular vitriol.

    It is a good read.
