A buddy of mine has one of these and it's torn to shreds. For stainless steel, I'd think it'd be more durable (or durable-er).

Stainless Steel Wallet - Hell Yeah!

The only thing more powerful than a wallet loaded with high-end plastic and cold cash is a stainless steel wallet loaded with high-end plastic and cold cash. Stainless steel micro fibers woven together to feel as soft as silk or as soft as Jessica Alb...

Wired did a write up on this a month or two ago, looks pretty cool. They also went into the Faraday cage properties of it, sounds like just the thing for RFID enabled credit cards

Sounds pretty awesome. I've got a couple of questions:

1. Does the steel act as a Faraday cage around any RFID cards you may be carrying? Could be awesome or a pain depending on if you're a convenience or privacy nut.

2. How would this do in an airport metal detector? I'm not really interested in getting a secondary rectal screening because my butt set off the metal detector.

My duct tape wallet is still intact, and it rocks. It's also a damn good talking point, since when people see it for the first time, they actually ask about it really being duct tape.
This wallet, however, seems like a normal grey wallet. Less of an icebreaker. But at least it doesn't look like it's going to fall apart at any moment...
