In Honor of the King, The Grilled Peanut Butter, Banana & Bacon Sandwich

It was 30 years ago yesterday when the king, Elvis Presley, died in the only place appropriate, in the can. In honor of the man, I would like to encourage all to experience a weekend of gluttony, and start it out with the sandwich appropriately titled “The Elvis.”
Ingredients
• Two slices of bread
• Two tablespoons of peanut butter
• One banana, smashed up
• Two or three slices of bacon
• Butter
Directions
1. Fry the bacon in a pan
2. Spread butter on the outside side of each slice of bread.
3. Spread the banana and peanut butter on the insides the bread.
4. Remove bacon and place on peanut butter.
5. Engage sandwich mode and fry until golden brown in bacon fat.
6. Consumer on toilet (optional).
It is not encouraged, but feel free to modify the recipe into a slightly healthier peanut butter and banana panini, even though Elvis would not approve.

I think one of the greatest disappointments of my life so far was that, although the PBB&B was available in the cafe at Graceland for something like $700+the soul of your first born, there was not one single greasy spoon diner anywhere up & down Elvis Presley Blvd. Unacceptable!
I didn’t know the sandwich included bacon. Live and learn (or at least learn).
Some include it, some don’t, so it is very optional, but I would assume that Elvis did enjoy bacon on it.
I’ll consumer it wherever I want to!
I dont know where the bacon came from, but the official way made by Elvis’s chef was without, not with per his book.
The bacon probably came from accidentally confusing two different things. One of Elvis’ favorites was the ‘fool’s gold sandwich’, created by a Colorado restauranteur.
