I suppose that since i am a woman and you all are “king-type” men that you won’t hear anything that i say —- but maybe you will hear from my father, his life, and the way he lived.
Do you know what my father taught me (as well as having personal experienced being with “king” type men)?: that the men that are REALLY men are those who are so secure within themselves that they don’t have anything to prove to anyone, don’t have to prove how much of a “man” they are, don’t have to demean another person (including women) to feel good about themselves, aren’t afraid of women being strong and independant from them (or intimidated by them), treat women with the same respect that they would like to receive from women, and don’t have to keep women ground under their heels to fell strong and good about themselves.
Me, i won’t have anything to do with a man other than the kind man that my father was ……. especially having had experience the abusing relationships “king-type” men and the way they rape women’s bodies, hearts, souls, minds, and spirits —- especially those who use the Bible to justify what they do to women.
And you know something i’ve come to see, too?; being the type of man that my father was frees these men as well as the women in their lives.
Hope this thought gives a little bit of feed-back to think on …..
Gail
(P.S.: I also hold that a woman should be this type of person, too, raising our children to be so, not just men.)
