I never understood why, after you play 20-40hrs of a game developers give you lousy endings.  Clearly they don&#039;t give a crap about whatever story they came up with.  There are exceptions where the ending doesn&#039;t matter, like Soul Calibur. What little story they have is unintelligible due to lazy translating, poor writing, or both.  Endings of those games are equally inane, but entertaining:

&quot;Finally you have become one to win our greatest battle!&quot;

[lots of pointing and sword waving]

&quot;NO!  You will not dishonor my father!&quot;

[lots of bowing]

&quot;OK, we will have to be separate on our thinking of our ways!&quot;

&quot;This is not enough for my sister and her quest!&quot;

[fighting, someone dies]

&quot;NOOOOO!&quot;
