If you’re a fan of Oskar Blues brewery, there won’t be much in this profile piece from the Palm Beach Post, but it seems like the right season to point out that OB’s brews, including the delicious Dale’s Pale Ale, are some of the best beers you can get in a can. (And stand up to any given craft beer, bottled or otherwise.)
I am a bit pained to see that Dale’s is selling for around $9 a sixer in Florida. In New York (where all booze is expensive, either at bars or buying at the store), a six pack of Dale’s is, like, twelve bucks. But it’s worth it, especially if you want to sneak a few into a movie theater or refresh yourself in a hot subway.
Hark! It’s ‘The Canned Beer Apocalypse’ [PalmBeachPost.com]
The only time I’ve had Oskar Blues was in Denver and I was very surprised at how good it was. Being in a can always sets my standards low, but they have a very solid beer. Unfortunately it’s not available in my state…
i recently tried Dale’s and was impressed by how good it was for a canned beer. it was $8 for six in Orlando, but worth it. i had a few and used one to cook my first beer can chicken. tasty!
