Perhaps the greatest G.I. Joe design ever, the Snowcat came with its own rack of missiles and torpedo skis. I used to have fever dreams about this vehicle, even after I got one. I loved it most, next to the submarine that could also fly.

Sweet memories. The hovercraft was the toy I coveted as a child.
I had a few action figures, but never got any of the larger toys. I always envied the kids with bases/giant ass vehicles.
i had one too! LOVED it ..so versatile

This was my favorite, the Phantom. One of the coolest GI Joe planes they made. A complete ripoff of the F-19 stealth fighter concept yes, but still cool as hell. I think I still own it too.
To quote Steve Martin, “I grew up a poor Black child.”
And as such, when my dear ol’ mama had the chance to buy me toys, I usually went the Transformers route, because who can resist a two-in-one toy? But I did have a few Joes including Sarge Slaughter, Beachhead, and Cobra Commander. But not the original, it was the lame ass armored CC.
Now that I have some chedda, maybe I should repair my damaged youth.
I believe the lame assed armor CC as you refer to it, IS the original CC. The shroud over the head Mideast terrorist one came later, the original CC was a armored mail in one with the silver facemask.
I actually was not a huge Joe fan, only got the airplane later in life toward when Joe was dying down. To me it was He-Man, and Ghostbusters, with a little bit of Voltron thrown in for good measure. I was also into this show called Wheeled Warriors, though it pretty much died. It was neat though cause you got vehicle bodies and built the weapons onto it.
Actually Jim, the CC I had wore an all white body armor suit and had an odd helmet that was absolutely repulsive.
