Middle-Aged, Single, No College

Facing Middle Age With No Degree, and No Wife, according to the New York Times, is a swelling crisis for men…I think? It’s impossible to discern what the point of this piece is except to note that more men are choosing not to be married, especially if they have no higher education. I didn’t read past the first page, because I was so put off by the whiff of pity that permeates the whole thing. If a dude wants to live alone what’s the big crisis?

    it’s an old piece, but i think the point wasn’t so much that they choose to live alone, it’s that they don’t have a lot of other choices.
