New Hot Dog Eating Champ

I have just finished reading “eat this book” as I am always amazed at the US cultural fenomena that are nowhere to be found in Europe (I am also on my way through the blind side about football and will get on Word Freak” as soon as I find it in my mess of a bookshelf). It is interesting to note that these competitive eaters, with Kobayashi being a prime example, consider themselves athletes and are fairly well prepared to defend their point of view.
I don’t see them in the Olympics anytime soon, though.
