Thank God It’s Not Winter: The Return Of Short Shorts

Now that I’ve been mentally hanging out all morning with Terry Richardson, I can’t help but be influenced by sleazy thoughts that I’m not entirely uncomfortable with. I mean, it’s one thing to appreciate hot sexy things, but it’s another to be utterly compelled to build a life and a name around them. Nevertheless, I’m pleased as pie that summer is almost upon us and, times being what they are, short shorts are coming back. I know this because New York Magazine tells me so.
In this week’s column, The Find, Kendall Herbst directs her focus on that most scandalously wholesome of ladies’ outerwear, the garment that sold a million units of Nair back in the seventies. (If you’re over 30 you may remember the jingle, but you can revisit it at the Nair website if you’re interested in the memory lane thing.)
Herbst went on a field trip to eight different boutiques in search of the best in this season’s short shorts and documented her finds for posterior posterity. The one I’d most like to encounter strutting across Washington Square are the black Glamour Satin ones from Bebe, but I’m sure we all have our favorite, and we don’t even have to blame Terry Richardson for our illicit thoughts.

damn. i thought they were saying that short shorts for guys are back. i was all excited. i guess i’ll have to remain the only guy wearing them…
The shorts pictured here are god-awful. I do like shorts though. Maybe i’ll even wear some this year! (that means i’d have to give up my skirts for a day though, and they are mighty comfy on a hot day)

That article is pretty much useless without photos of actual people wearing said shorts - I need imagery!

Short shorts are hot!! Especially denim. I have gotten my wife several pair this summer. The shorter the better!!
I’m a 23 year old straight male. I love wearing short shorts (2″ or less inseam). I have a bubble butt and tanned, smooth, and muscular legs, which I love showing off. I get compliments all the time from men and women. I have a girlfriend and she likes grabbing my butt when I wear these shorts. They’re also very practical for running and other physical activities.
