Vee-Cam: Solid-State Ruggedized “Extreme” Personal Videocamera

The VEECAM is a solid-state, ruggedized video recording system designed for in-the-field video and still image capture. With a 16-hour battery life, nickel-coated polycarbonate case, and a completely sealed system that is waterproof up to 50 meters—even if the connections are unplugged—this thing is loaded for bear. It’s not HD, but the resolution isn’t shabby, either, capable of DVD quality.
No price yet, but I’d expect to pay a pretty penny when it’s released this summer. You can even watch the video you’ve recorded on its 2.4-inch LCD screen before dumping the content to your computer via USB. Very slick.
