Stop buying cocktail sauce, when you can do this: mix horseradish (yum!) with ketchup in equal proportion. You’ve just made cocktail sauce! (Dial down the horseradish if you don’t want it real spicy.) Salt and pepper to taste, but even that is optional.

I recommend a dash of hotsauce myself if you like it really spicy.
