Most of the time, the photoshoppers mess that up. Either way, the photo is pretty fantastic. And the broken shock gives you some preview of what probably happened to this guy's head! I don’t think it’s photo-chopped. The shadow at the bottom is too perfect. Most of the time, the photoshoppers mess that up.

As for being photoshop, maybe, but the guy is good then. Even I wouldn't think of putting the fluid of the broken hydraulic shock coming out.
