Band of Brothers is the best “new” war movie/series of WWII so far.
It rates up there with the classics like “Tora,Tora,Tora” and “Battle of Britain”.
“Pacific” was shot here in Australia recently, I just hope they give us Aussies the credit we deserve for being the first to beat the Japanese in a major offensive on land (Battle for the Kokoda track),I can’t wait until the release, bring it on!

Band of Brothers will be remebered in history as one of the best if not the best movies/series ever to be made. Let’s hope the PACIFIC series is as good

wat fool did not enjoy band of brothers…i thought it was a fantastic job of reliving the experiences and devastation on the boys of easy company.love to have met dick winters

Throughout the series of Band of Brothers there are several references from the Soldiers of Easy Company, stating that the average German Soldier and the SS/Higher Echelons of the German Command were not one and the same.

I fail to see the bias, of course the series would be largely from the point of view of the men of Easy Company as the whole series was based upon studies/interviews with the survivors.

em, ”notthesame” you are a fool, BoB was not biased, obviously u didnt watch the episodes ‘why we fight’ and some of the rest near the en of the miniseries, it shows specifically points out that the ‘germans’ are just like the americans and it shows the american soldiers relating to the germans etc. the same can be seen in ep 2 ‘day of days’, where the captured german soldier actually lived in america most of his life in the same town as one the american soliders who he talks to, he isnt portrayed to be ‘evil’ or ‘bad’, he is just like the americans, in fact he is an american!!

BoB sucked for lack of a better term,the same ‘germans are bad allies good’ crap,too bias which is to be expected from a speilberg,for a better war movie try ‘Stalingrad’ or ‘der untergang’.I don;t expect much from this new series but I will watch out of curiosity to see the historical accuracy and since i’m a ww2 buff and pacific theater in particular mistakes won’t b easy to find

Band of Brothers is an awesome series! Hope ‘Pacific’ can measure up.

If you are into FPS games, Call Of Duty had many maps that seemed to be exact replicas from cities/towns featured in BoB.

“Band of Brothers” is a must see. Skip Testosterone TV and rent or buy this miniseries!
