The speakers have protective metal plates, really strong and more dent resistant than any mobile speakers I have seen. They also have a significant amount of velcro in two inch strips holding the removable speakers in. And this is Burton here so you have to assume there are taped seams on the bottom inside the cooler. The only stitching that may get wet is at the top by the zipper, but it is insignificant. The real question is how long will 4 AA batteries required to power the amp last? But it does have a 6V DC receiver if you happen to have the business end lying around. It sounds good.
