New Yorker on Parkour
Published by Joel April 10th, 2007.The New Yorker looks at parkour, the cringe-inducing sport of jumping and running through urban spaces. We used to have shoes with a plastic plate on the bottom for board-less rail slides. We called it “Extreme Walking.” These days I only run as fast as I can to leap headfirst into a roasting pig. It’s called—wait for it—porkour. [New Yorker via Kottke]
