This week’s most popular posts from the web’s guide to tools: Every “tool guy” should have a tap-and-die set. We looked at a reasonably-priced set this week, as well as a bevy of home-shop favorites including a lightweight clamping table (that converts to a two-wheel dolly and carries an extension cord) and a small vise designed for Dremel projects. Toolmonger readers also weighed in on the value of cheap-ass plastic miter boxes as a low-buck alternative to $100+ miter saws. The verdict: they work, but buy a metal one if you can afford it.
