Green Thumbs and Black Nailpolish: Gothic Gardens

It’s kind of a weenie way to go about home gardening, but there’s still something cool about buying a ready-to-grow terrarium that comes with everything you need to produce life. It’s easy, it’s efficient, and if it fails, you really can’t be held to blame unless you didn’t follow the directions.
One particularly novel, if goofy, option is the Graveyard Gothic Garden, produced by longtime geek favorite, American Science and Surplus. The tombstone stakes, the rubber spiders, and the plastic skulls all ad to the cheese factor, but the plants are all real, and unusual to boot.
Inside the terrarium, you’ll grow black dragon coleus, a sensitivity plant, dragon tree dracaena, moon flower and aloe. Because they’re spoooooky. Well, not really, but they do all grow well together, are hearty and easy to nurture, and they do look cool, especially when grouped under a dome. Works on your windowsill, works on your office desk, adding life (and death!) wherever you need it.
If they wanted a real morbid garden, they might have included nightshade, mandrake root, hemlock, etc. but some of those things can actually kill you.

I always suspected you were GAF but now I have proof!
