• 5PM, Science Channel – Planet Earth: The Future: Episode 1. Part 1 of 3. The future of endangered wild animals and places is discussed by experts.
• 5PM, Military Channel – Futureweapons: Smart Weapons. Examines weapons that seek and destroy by themselves.
• 6PM, Science Channel – Creature Tech: An examination of how scientists look to nature for leads in technology.
• 6PM, Military Channel – Futureweapons: Stealth. Explores the world of stealth technology.
• 6PM, Discovery HD – Living with the Kombai Tribe: Justice System. Mark and Olly examine the brutal Kombai justice system.
• 6PM, ENCDRM – WarGames (movie): A teen gains access to the U.S. missle-warning system through his home computer.

• 7PM, THC – Modern Marvels: Bible Tech. An examination of technology and structures mentioned in the Bible and what they reveal about ancient knowledge of fortifications, water supply and weaponry.
• 7PM, Spike TV – World’s Scariest Explosions Caught on Tape: Footage includes misfired rockets and missles; unexpected destruction of buildings and cars; declassified tape of atomic-weapons tests.
• 7PM, ABC – The Ten Commandments (movie): Epic about the life of Moses. (This is played every Easter weekend and is a classic. If you’ve never seen it, you should. Be warned, it’s over 4 hours long.)
• 7:30PM, ATMAX – Serenity (movie): The crew of a space freighter hides a fugitive from a totalitarian regime. (For those not in the know, this movie rocks, and goes along with tv show Firefly. One of my all time favorites.)
• 8PM, National Geographic – Super Snake: Tracking large snakes, some more than 30 feet long, with 100 teeth, 500 vertebrae, 1000 ribs and 10,000 muscles. The hour follows these ’super snakes’ as they stalk prey, constrict it and consume it.
• 8PM, Discovery Times – real Pirate of the Caribbean: Captain Henry Morgan: A profile of Welsh buccaneer Capt. Henry Morgan, who raided Spanish colonial outposts in the Caribbean during the 1660s.
• 8PM, E! – The Big Lebowski (movie): A slacker gets mixed up in a kidnapping plot involving an eccentric millionaire with whom he shares the same name.
• 9PM, WE – America’s Cutest Puppies: Los Angeles. Debut: The search for the nation’s most adorable puppy is chronicled. Featuring a Wheaton terrier and a 3-legged pup. (Yeah, I know, not exactly a manly show, but if you’ve got a lady over, and you let her giggle and coo over this, you might just get some action. Report back if this works.)
• 9PM, Food Network – Unwrapped: Easter. A look at Easter eats includes marshmallow bunnies and malted eggs; dyed eggs; chocolate bunnies; Peeps art.
• 9PM, National Geographic – Dangerous Encounters: Dens of Danger. Maps the dens of some of the world’s most deadly animals including crocodiles in China, black bears in the U.S., snakes in South Africa and sharks off Maui.
• 9PM, Science Channel – Mars Orbiter: Examining the mission of the Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter. Included: the instruments and technology it is carrying.
• 9:30PM, VH1 – Heavy: The Story of Metal: Part 1 of 4. A look at metal pioneers Black Sabbath, plus KISS and the rise of glam metal in the early 1970s. (All four of these are on tonight, so if this is your bag, keep it on VH1.)
• 10PM, A&E – American Brew: The history of beer in America is chronicled. Included: beer is brewed in the Colonial style in a fireplace in Williamsburg, VA.; home-brewed in the Bronx; and a Jasmine IPA is brewed in Seattle.
• 10PM, Animal Planet – Mutual of Omaha’s Wild Kingdom: Cheetahs
• 10PM, Science Channel – Passport to Pluto: NASA’s New Horizons mission to the outer reaches of the solar system.
• 10PM, Discovery Times – The Chocolate Wars: An examination of America’s billion-dollar candy industry, and the rivalry between Hershey and Mars.
• 11:30PM, SHO3XE – Bukowski: Born into This (movie): A portrait of author Charles Bukowski (1920-1994), known for his ill temper and his weekly column ‘Notes of a Dirty Old Man.’.
