http://www.titantv.com is a good online TV listing site that tells if a show is a repeat or not. But don't leave out interesting shows just because they are repeats, the Good Eats show was actually from 2002!

Think it would also be good if you just skip ALL network shows so it's not an issue every day that you have skipped 24/Lost/CSI/Numbers/RescueMe/Sopranos or whatever other testosterone laced shows you don't happen to enjoy.

Maybe just note the premiere episodes or even write an occasional full separate blog post such as "Why Heros Rocks" or "Why 24 Sucks" (if you dare).

I've been watching Bourdain's show, which I had somehow missed til recently. Also, I don't know if you've been listing it, but Gordon Ramsay's The F Word (on BBC America) is another good cooking/food show featuring such manly action as slaughtering pigs and eating home-raised snails.

I also have been watching Planet Earth, Dirty Jobs, Mythbusters, and of course Poker After Dark, which is super boring and makes for great background noise. It airs at 2am, though, so if you don't have DVR it's pretty much useless.

Also, I would love to be able to let you know if the shows are repeats. Sadly, the networks that write the tv listings don't want you to know that, they know if they plaster REPEAT all over the description of the show that you won't watch. If I recognize a show to be a repeat I don't include it. So the longer I do this the less there will be repeats on here. Sorry if it's been a problem!

No 24. I think the show sucks and has bad politics. My new rule for this is no network TV, unless it is something really good, like Heros, or a special, or something like that. I want to point out the shows you may not know are on (or at least remind you of them) that are neat, entertaining, and sometimes educational. So, enjoy!

So what have you guys been watching from the lists?

I appreciate these posts, but may I suggest a couple of changes?

1) Could you note when shows are repeats?
2) I know you probably don't want to do this, but I'd appreciate if you put the full post in RSS feeds. I'm sure it would cost you some pageviews, but on the other hand I'm not very likely to click through to see the rest. So most of the time I miss out on the rest of your content.

Thanks, either way. this feature has pointed me to a lot of shows I wouldn't have otherwise seen.
