Flickr user “Legozilla” went to Brickfest yesterday, a convention held in Portland where Lego nerds show off their creations. His gallery of photos from the show is now online. It’s worth blowing a few minutes to check out a multi-hundred minifig recreation of the Battle of Helm’s Deep (complete with out-of-canon balrog) and spaceships galore.

My personal favorite is this bombed out building, complete with balaclava-clad insurgents. The rebar sticking out of the concrete makes for an instantly recognizable image.
