The Truly Impressive Part Is The Math: Panda Poop Paper

The Chengdu Giant Panda Breeding Base in China may be the one of the next resources for renewable paper, according to their researchers, who are looking for a paper mill to process their animals’ droppings.
Panda poop is exceptionally fiber-rich due to the beasts’ steady diet of bamboo. Their keepers feel that this would make an excellent source material for paper. Their argument for it seems entirely ethical, too.
According to researcher Liao Jun, of the giant panda reserve,
We are not interested in doing this for the profits but to recycle the waste…it’s environmentally friendly. We can use the paper ourselves and also we can sell whatever is left over.
There are 40 pandas housed at the Chengdu Base, who produce two tons of poop every day. That’s 100 pounds of dookie per day per panda, or the equivalent of crapping out Nicole Ritchie every day.

Nicole on a fat day, anyway.
100 lbs?!!?!?!
I was gonna say “Holy shit,” then thought a second longer and nixed that; then I was gonna say “Holy crap.” Finally I realized I didn’t have anything to say that wasn’t trite.
(This is a true comment.)
Honestly…100 lbs?!!?!?!? Buncha lard-ass l’il angels.
