DoseNation: Daily-Updated Blog About Drugs and Chemical Culture

A few years back I had an idea for a site about drugs. I was thinking of calling it “Chemicola” or “Popular Chemistry,” but beyond a little bit of brainstorming and some tinkering, it never really got off the ground. That’s why I’ve very excited to see DoseNation, a blog helmed by Scotto Moore and James Kent, formerly of Trip magazine, which has already done a far better job covering the chemicals scene that I ever could, if for no other reason than I am lazy and dumb. (Disclaimer: I know these guys.)
It happens to also be built on a new CMS written by Kent called “Supermassive” which will allow others to post drive-by contributions to the blog, as well. Cool!
An initial sampling of posts include a “Propaganda Review” of a recent DXM “awareness” site, questioning what the hell a drug listed as “hydro” could possible be (it’s not marijuana), and a look at the new cigarette brand from Camel that’s “for the ladies.” DoseNation looks great; exactly the sort of stuff I want to read about every day.
