Stag On Valentine’s Day: A Golden Opportunity
0 Comments Published by Alex February 5th, 2007 in Romance, Sex. Share ThisWhile many of you are in warm, cozy relationships with your wife, longtime girlfriend, new love interest, or just some chick you’re hooking up with once in a while, many of the rest of you are left playing the five fingered dance and surfing internet porn by default. Valentine’s Day for you lot can be a drag, but there are silver linings worth noting, as well as a built-in bonus prize.
Off the bat, you get to save money by not having to spend the dosh for gifts and dinners, no trouble to instigate by forgetting to put forth special attention to your mate. Do not underestimate the value of your time being your own! You can look like a slob in your sweats any day of the week, including special holidays, and the only person who will care is you.
However, if you’re actually interested in making a connection, there may be no finer day than Valentine’s Day for this chance.
It’s a well-known fact that women need sex and romance as much as we do. Well, maybe they need romance as much as we need sex, and they want sex as much as we want romance. Regardless, it’s a safe bet that as many of us that are without dates for V-Day, there are an equal amount of them. And what do the lovelorn do on the great and heralded day of romantic remorse? That’s right—Same as you, they go to the bars. (The ones who stay home and eat ice cream and watch sappy movies are likely not the ones that you’d want to meet anyway.)
Cue the shades of “The Wedding Crashers”; every woman saddling up to the juice joint who didn’t enter with a beau is putting it out there, ripe, ready, willing and damned near ethically bankrupt. It won’t take much to strike up a conversation, and barely more to get a number. It’s probably a safe estimate that the percentages of immediate hook ups skyrocket on V-Day, so dress nice and pack appropriately.
