I just caught Top Chef for the first time the other night (after watching Wired Science) and I have to say, I liked it a lot. I’m kind of pissed at myself for not watching it sooner. I won’t make the same mistake with Top Design. I always liked Todd Oldham’s stuff he used to do way back in the day on House of Style.

I also have to agree with andrew that Queer Eye is way less gay than a lot of the other shoes. My ex used to make me sit through episodes and episodes of Trading Spaces, and that shit was gayer than 8 guys blowing 9 guys. QE, despite the advertising, doesn’t try to make the dude look gay, it just tries to help him pick out clothes that actually look good on him, and help him get his crappy abode up to speed.

Wow. Why is that humor at the expense of gays is still acceptable? Would the same post and comments with derogatory and stereotypical terms for African Americans or Jews instead of gays be published here? I doubt it.

I’ve never watched any of these shows. Only because I know I’ll get hopelessly ensnared in them and my life will be consumed by TV.

That, and my wife will keep calling me a fag. Though, I did bring up perfume blending last night thanks to this damn site. :)

i liked the first season of top chef queer eye. all the other shows are too fruity.

everyone looks at me funny when i say that i think queer eye is less gay than all the other shows.

i’m way excited. i fucking love PRW, and i’m hoping that this will be even close to as good. i’m not a huge top chef fan, since cooking just doesn’t interest me, but fashion and home decor sure as hell do. HGTV’s home design show was major crapper, so i’m hoping that bravo can fix their mistakes.
