I'm a Fisher Space Pen guy, myself, kickin it 43Folders.com old school style. The Bullet model goes with me everywhere in my pants pocket, and I keep a longer (titanium!) one at the office, strictly because I saw the titanium pen on Ebay and had to have it.

I had eschewed "New years resolutions" as one of my snarky buddies always referred to them as "the first lie of the new year." Although he's pretty much right on, I've decided to make a list of shit I want to accomplish in '07. Otherwise I just won't get anything done, and I don't want or need another year of that.

The main one that I need to get started on soon is to learn some Thai for a December trip to Thailand.

I just did my kickoff brain dump yesterday. Took my Moleskine (GTD, to go), emptied all the unfinished projects/actions/everything onto a big paper, and went through them. Turns out, I had a lot more projects than I thought, and a lot of stuff I needed to stop procrastinating.

Biggest thing I've realized: my brain kicks into dump mode shortly after working out (weights or running). I took my phone and ended up with 12 text messages sent to myself full of ideas.

Tip on the pen: buy some pilot G2's or G6's and some Mont Blanc rollerball refills.
cut the plastic back ends of the refills with a non serrated knife, stick them in the G2's or G6's body, and whamo, instant Mont Blanc for a fraction of the price.

For notebooks, check out Rhodia pads. They're wonderful to write on and come in a variety of shapes and sizes.

Mine are:

Sell the stuff I have not used in the past 4 months.
Entertain occasionally.
Fail at least 3 times a month. (To remain unafraid of it)
Develop automation of my photo workflow.
Maintain and grow my network.
Yoga/exercise.
Travel once every 2 months.
Get a 90% on the Freezepop track of Guitar Hero 2 on Hard mode.
Read more about investing, business, and international affairs.
Invest a minimum of 10% of my income.
Get the photo website finished.
Remain cheerful.
Read Sartre.
Practice cooking.
Limit my ambitions to things that will not prove fruitful to my long term well being.

Have you seen 43things.com? It's not really GTD-related, but it's a handy site for keeping track of goals like this.
