This lovely balcony is the outside evidence of the work of John Hutchison, “renegade” physics researcher. His home is filled with surplus military hardware which he uses in pursuit of the discovery of limitless, zero-point energy using a “petro-electrical effect” inside “crystal cells.”
Yeah, he’s probably a misguided nutbag, but more power to him. Not only does he have commendable gumption, but he’s living inside the coolest second-story apartment any nerd bachelor ever rented.
TechTV (remember them?) did a short, sarcastic profile of Hutchison on their “Invent This” program, where he describes his work while they pan through all his suburban evil genius lair. (Available on Google Video.)

That balcony is crazy. I’m sure he’s a big hit with his neighbors
this guy is actually a genius. do not disrespect him. he has fused metal and wood with no displacement. he has melted metal at room temperature, crazy stuff. not to be called a kook.
He is a man in love. Appears he is selling all his effects and moving on to new adventures. Adventures in love that is. Mr Hutchison found love.

My personal communiques with John reveal an aging man that has given over and over again only to be disrespected and set aside by the very persons who benefit from his years of knowledge and experience.
His seemingly cavalier persona is a shield to protect him from the hurt that arises from those who really do not understand. He values and respects the opinions of others and cares deeply about their feelings.
He has acheived success in areas that few others among us can claim and deserves the due recognition for these acheivements.
The Balcony was a public request to the world to acknowledge the hard work and efforts Mr. J.K. Hutchison has offered to benefit mankind.
Unfortuneatly, the very persons He has historically held close have been the very ones that injure him the greatest. If history repeats itself I fear 1o6 is about to do the same :( He has unilateraly deleted all of my posts from the forums most likely due to jealousy. The link above shows a response to one of my posts that have been deleted. John has indicated to me that he hates censorship and did not authorize the deletion of any posts. I wish to add here that I was very careful in my posts not to break the agreement for forum rules.
John, may the future bring you success and happiness.

Would love to meet the man–read and waatched a lot of online material and videos.
I myself have tinkered about with tensor fields and large magnetic fields finding some of the same effects he he has created.
Though most of my equipment is solid state Icl8038 sine square sawtooth wave generators,MAX038 generator ic’s some 555’s high freq amplifiers.
I have alot of test equipment but no where near what Mr Hutchison has.Most of what i have is small for portability and has to be housed in steel cans to prevent burn out due to the fields created -CMOS TTL devices are sensitive to large electrostatic and magnetic fields.
I have had a lot of fun trying to replicate and shrink down to pocket size devices what this man has done with big eqipment and have found some useful applications -personal things-i have used the technology for. :-)
