upon boot-up my opening page has automaticaly been firefox start page. somehow it got lost,how do i get it back? all box's under options are correct. thank's robert

For Mozilla-related browsers, I use about:mozilla as my homepage. Functionally the same as about:blank, but visually cooler.

I am a hardcore netvibes fan. I has been my homepage for many months now. Great to consolidate feeds, mails along with a huuuge list of addons possible from the netvibes ecosystem.

Google IG/personal here, too. At startup I see a rundown of favorite RSS feeds, news, my calendar, and email. More in depth news are a click away at Google Reader. Sigh…I’ve turned everything over to Google now….

I set it to my task list. That keeps me focused on my tasks, and the list is available through any internet connection.

I prefer Tasks Pro, which I paid for and run off of my web server. A free alternative (that is hosted for free by Toby Segaran) is Tasktoy. Both are dandy.

I have the home page set to personalised google on all of my browsers. It is handy to have a load of useful rss feeds instantly visible without having to go through a reader to get at them. The problem with using a random wikipedia link is that it if it displays smegma or something equally jolly your day isn’t really off to a great start.

With browsers like Firefox you don’t have to restrict yourself to just one home page. I have my browser open up with the BBC News but other tabs are loaded for my webmail, calendar, Bloglines, and a few other favourite web sites that I check every day.
