What Are Your Projects This Weekend?
14 Comments Published by Joel December 15th, 2006 in DIY. Share ThisIt’s Susie’s birthday tomorrow, so we’re going to spend the entire day in bed, phones off, internet disabled, with several gallons of beer, coffee, chili, and assorted sweets. I can’t wait.
That does mean that my project bill is pretty much full this weekend, especially considering that I have some freelance work to put away on Sunday. I was going to try to wire in an AC adapter for the Wii sensor bar, but have ordered a hand-built, battery-powered one instead. Once I get that, I may go ahead and try to do the AC splice in anyway, once I have the battery-powered one as a backup.
What about you?
Shine my shoes… take some measurements for in wall storage. Study for the bar exam. play hide the sausage with the milf down the road. Back to you Joel
Airsofting… maybe.
Gonna host a long-overdue Don Knotts film retrospective / craft clutch / brunch with the ladies of Astoria, Queens. Fritattas will be made, followed by liquor. Some will bring knitting, others may be doing macramé or some such. I’ll be decoupaging wooden boxes and the like for Xmas presents. it’s homotacular, but being the only fellow there amongst a few nice ladies, I escape scot-free from your persecution, suckas. Enjoy that dumb football game.
Hmmm an entire day in bed….and you have chili on the menu. Sounds like much fun.
Happy birthday Susie!
As for me, I have a night of drinking and card games with the girls, then housewarming party on tomorrow. Sunday will be a day of traipsing through dungeons and saving verses death. Needless to say I shall prevail and be there to face another week of surfing the net and telling people to fuck off.
priming a kitchen. maybe some gift shopping. punching movable type in the nuts.
besides laughing at the fact that the guy above me is dick smoker, i have shit to do besides video games, hanging outr with the friends/girlfriend, and trying to sleep with an old friend of mine.
Beer, coffee, and chili? That sounds like a bowel-tastic weekend.
Happy birthday Susie!
I’m going to post some belated Coffee Week posts to Dethroner that I haven’t had the time to finish writing this week.
My 12 year old daughter and I will go to the tree farm and find a Christmas tree tomorrow. We’ve been doing this together since she was 3 – I look forward to it more with each passing year.
I’ve been charged with making two largish, boules of pumpernickel (I’m not sure my starter is ready yet so the first is currently rising without it). Got a few x-mas presents to wrap yet as well. That’s about it.
Weekend…what a joke this time.
No projects for me. Work all day on Saturday in Philly, then a stay overnight away from MY woodshop, then a Sunday return to the sticks and 2 x-maz parties I’m obliged to attend.
Sunday night might involve poly-ing a couple shelves for a tiered-display thingy I’m completing…if not, watch out Monday! That bitch will be completed!
So, sadly, no projects this weekend.
F! None next weekend, too. Or the next one, too!
I hate x-maz.

That boule looks stupendous, Randy. All men should bake! Unfortunately, most of us just get baked…
This is exactly what I expected to find out after reading the title Are Your Projects This Weekend? at Dethroner. Thanks for informative article
