I cried a little bit inside when I heard about this. For perspective I am a self relegating head shaver or “skinhead” as you called me outside the bar on Saturday (bitch), who wears a somewhat ridiculous wallet chain, even with slacks. True or not, the hair and outfit lose all power without self confidence. Next time you find yourself in that situation suck up that vomit and save it for use in the projectile sense for any naysayers!

I say if you are going to wear the vest and jacket invest in some slacks, otherwise leave one or the other at home. While not exactly the same as that suit combo, my new favorite item of clothing is button up shirts with french cuffs and I don’t give two shits if half the gay boys I know think it’s a hint that I’ve crossed over!

oh and your glasses and the cut of your collar don’t match that’s what was wrong wide square frames match oval faces oval frames match more square faces. the wide collar matches thinner longer faces the pointed collar matches wider squater faces. This is to add the dimmension to your facade where nature neglected to provide. you’re kinda in the middle but I would wear collars with a longer lapel jsut a smidge though.

Lose the Beard now and you’ll be set… The suit will look best on you if you are clean shaven… as an aside because of this demon spawn you call a blog I bought a straight razor… used it can almsot cut my face to hell… It was interesting though. Firstly I used cup soap a brush and stropped the blade (or so I thought) I proceeded to cut a full beard and 20 mins later I had patches all over though not quite visible thanks to my chocolate skin. I waited a couple hours tried again and I got better results… so i love it It’s close and very little irritation…. so far.

But yeah Cut the beard every once in a while diversify your look form time to time. there’s know better way to exhibit your own personal style by showing that you’re comfortable with different styles and cuts and know how to match them with your clothing….

Im sorry the “trying to hard” comment made you misty…

while i understand certain “rules” apply for fashion …i say fuck ‘em and wear whatever the hell you want. i see crap on the paris and ny runways that i would NEVER even consider wearing out in public, but for some reason they’re able to get away with it.

so as long as you understand your sense of style and own it from head to toe, do what you want!! conformity is for those that can’t ignore the hecklers …

Man, people are assclowns. The two women who have commented on the beard both say yea, so eat it.

As for today’s outfit, I think it looks better without the jacket. The glasses are very nice. It’s got a very alexander knox vibe, and anything that associates you with the newsroom of a comic book is a good thing. unless you’re rocking the jimmy olsen. or the j. jonah jameson. but you’re not.

I think you made a good decision. The beard is well trimmed and not spotty, so while it is a little goofy, it doesn’t look unprofessional, it just looks casual. I’m one to talk, I have 2 inches of red goatee hair hanging off of my face.

Number one: Jeans with a vest, shirt, tie and jacket. Never. Clue up. Never, unless you are looking to get more attention for your basket than your look.

Number two: Vests must fit. Get it tailored. A tight vest only gives you a paunch. Trust me on this.

Number three: Pretty good marks for the tie and shirt choice.

Number four: The beard. Too thin on the cheeks to look other than “recent.”

Product: Some random paste that the random barber I found (randomly) had. It’s not dissimilar from my standard product, the name of which is escaping me at the moment. (It comes in a little green plastic tub.)
