Made me shudder to remember my dare at a buffet in college. Roommates and I hit the soft-serve machine where I noticed a smaller table with food hidden by the machine and there some chicken fingers there. A shared look and the silent dare is stated so back to the table with a bowl of vanilla with a chicken finger protruding from it.

There’s something amazing about how you can anticipate something tasting vs the hard reality. “Cold soothing delicious ice cream and then hot, greasey breaded chicken parts” was my expected mental taste only to be deceived by a cleverly disguised fish stick. Fish stick and ice cream, sure, maybe but expecting chicken and getting fish mixed with ice cream was … well priceless for the roommates.

Cheddar Ice cream doesn’t sound as bad as a slice of apple pie slathered in yellow mustard.

Which, by the way, if you were wondering, isn’t as good as it sounds.

Oddly, I have had sharp cheddar cheese iced cream…..on top of a slice of hot apple pie….and it was absolutely perfect on it.

It’s a fairly nice lookin’ piece of CFSteak.
I’m in Kansas…and they do it up right here for totally sure.
That image is fresh.
But the idea of ice cream from deglazed ANYTHING kinda flies in the face of ice cream making…correct?

Thanks. You’ve just helped my diet along. I don’t think I’ll be eating ice cream for at least another week. . .

Though I am craving some chicken fried steak, oddly enough. . . :(
