The secret to a good movie trailer is the same as the secret to good writing: a string-heavy stab-track. Shhrrrnkk shhrrrnkk!
This is a lovely little trailer for a thiller called “Office Space,” staring Stephen Root as a crazed killer who goes over the edge when someone takes away his red Swingline stapler.
Yeah, okay. They did a good job of taking an off-the-wall comedy and making it seem like a psycho-thriller. But honestly guys, this schtick is getting old. I don’t even search them out and I have come across at least a dozen other clips of the exact same thing being done to other movies. Making “The Shining” seem like a light romantic comedy, for example, was still the best (and earliest one) that I have seen. Undoubtedly people will keep doing this, but I am rapidly coming to the conclusion that all this creativity and time and effort is just being pissed away redoing this same, old, and by now, TIRED gag. Enough is enough people. If you spend more than about an hour a week on these things, you seriously need to GET LAID, and GET A LIFE!
WHY DOES IT MATTER YOU JUST WAISTED YOUR LIFE POSTING THAT.
Love it!!!! I’ll never get tired of these. I’m just always amazed at how effective music is in setting a mood.
