Spiney, the article contains a breakdown of what that meal contains, specifically so you can make you're own substitutions. And as far as spinach being e-coli fodder (3 people total died in the scare.) you've got a better chance of getting killed by a terrorist or winning the lottery than getting e-coli from spinach.

"civilized" substitutions:
Throw out the spinach and just have the romaine. (sissy)
Any sort of berries will do, but you'll have to eat more of them to get the same amount of flavanoids and anti-oxidents in a handful of blueberries. They're the most potent of all the berries in this regard.
If you don't want salmon, again, any fish will do provided it was not farm-raised. (tuna, mahi mahi, swordfish)

Spinach is E. Coli fodder, salmon is expensive, and I don't enjoy blueberries at any time. We need a breakdown on the components and some civilized substitutions to make this work.

My "Eating for Performance" meal is...

* 1/4 lb. brisket
* 1/4 turkey
* half a link of jalapeno sausage
* cream of corn or potato salad
* serving of nana-puddin
* 32 oz. of Dr. Pepper

If that meal don't get you stoked to conquer the world, then nothing will.
