The best thing to do when celebrating a successful launch day is to get totally wasted and then fall asleep on the train home. Thank the fetus for that sweet bean juice.
Before I get cracking again this morning, I just wanted to say how much I appreciate all the kind words and encouragement from everyone yesterday. And if you’re here today, on day two, then thanks for coming back.
Also, if you have the time, please send in your tips, questions (we’ve got a lot of questions we’re going to be getting to today), and pictures of outfits you’d like for the Dethroner audience to analyze while mincing every last bit of your confidence in our now-standard feature “Dapper or Crapper?“
First of all I would like to start off by congratulating you and commending the effort on the site. I look forward to reading more here. I also loved the “Dapper or Crapper” feature.
My biggest recommendation to a site hoping to cater to men across the country and possibly beyond is to keep things from becoming too NYC-centric. Too many tech, fashion, and taste news sources focus too heavily on what can be purchased in NYC, and often L.A. I understand that there are a lot of men with a lot of money who want to know about the latest and greatest in those two cities, but we mere mortals all over the rest of the country feel like we’re missing out when we read about all of the great products available at all of the great stores we can never visit.
I suppose the best solution is to find online outlets for most products you recommend. I am sure Dethroner will see to it that our needs are met as well. Looking forward to it!
Thanks!
I live in Brooklyn so there’s going to be a lot of NYC content. But! When it comes to product suggestions and such, I’ll definitely try to keep things accessible for everybody. Not every man in New York walks around in $500 shirts. I definitely don’t.
These bags are an excellent buy as well: http://www.courierwareusa.com/ I have had a couple of them in different sizes and they last. and last. and then do some lasting. They are comfy, non too girly and affordable. Hurray for local merchants!
Hey Joel, nice to hear we should all be able to buy the products you discuss! I’ve noticed too that most products have links to online sales, which is much appreciated.
Thanks again for a great site, and best of luck!
