D2:
First, get your waist and inseam measurements.
Then shop at Target or Wal-mart.
Easy.

Look for their websites online, buy clothes.
Shoes?
No way would I not do that in person.

I SO don't have the time to keep sending stuff back.

OK, this is REALLY simple. It's time to tuck your shirts back in. I don't mean to sound like anyone's parent here but it looks like you were raised by pigs when you run around with untucked dress shirts, etc. This trend is at it's worst when you let your shirt hang out below your sweater or jacket. My 8 year old wears most of his shirts untucked because it's almost impossible to keep an 8 year old's shirts tucked in neatly. But, and I repeat, HE'S 8 YEARS OLD! What will I remember the 00's for? The decade of the untucked shirt and ridiculous $80 jeans full of holes from the store. I used to know a guy in the early '80s that carried this same look. Sadly, the '60s had been a blur for him and he still lived in his parent's basement.

I want a place - preferably online - for buying pants that is like www.Zappos.com. Zappos lets you buy shoes, with free shipping, and if they don't fit, you can send them back! Why do I have to go to a store and search through thousands of overpriced jeans and badly cut triple-pleat dress pants looking for pants that fit MY criteria... cheap, correct measurements, and no pre-worn holes!

I also want dress pants that have a "short rise" as it's called, so I can wear my dress pants at my hips and not have the crotch riding halfway down my thigh...

And thirdly, I'd like to pay $40 or less for pants. Geez, how much money do these fuckers think I make? (sorry for the rant, btw)

I agree. The problem is finding the middle ground between the skinny jeans (pleeeease don't bring back the Jordache look) and the 5x-too-large-falling-off-your-butt look. I constantly have difficulty finding good looking jeans that fall somewhere between the look and comfort of Hilfiger or Lucky and the "I'm wearing these because I need to do yardwork" genre of Carharts.

Am I longing for the days of when I fit into 501s? Not really, But I still want a nice looking pair of jeans for fridays at work when they let let us escape from the "business casual" attire (whatever the heck that means...).

I am not happy about the skinny jeans trend stores and magazines are trying to impose on us. They didn't look good the first time and they don't look good now.
